What to expect:
Your Snowshoe to Fondue dinner experience starts with a 20 minutes (450m) snowshoe walk through the mystic snow gums, to encapsulate a sense of remoteness and immerse oneself in the Australian alpine environment. On your way you will hear stories about the Australian Alps pioneers.
Arriving just before sunset at our sustainable hidden eco-village, you’ll enjoy a delicious heart warming glass of home-made mulled wine outside by the fire, watching the sun disappear over the Dargo valley.
You will then be invited in the central tipi with a fireplace, where you will learn the secrets to making a traditional and mouth-watering French fondue, with cheese imported for the occasion from French Alpine farms.
After a 3 course dinner we will sit around the fire sharing a few drinks and stories (maybe even some dancing).
Fit your snowshoes and head-torch once more for the return journey to the carpark, gazing at the stars. This full evening experience finishes around 9:00pm and no later than 23:30.

– First glass of heart-warming home-made Gluhwein (hot spiced red wine) by the fire

At the Eco-Village:
Our eco-village is set-up in the wilderness of Hotham. Everything is carried in and out by man power to reduce our impact on the fragile alpine environment. We are completely off the grid, but for your comfort the eco-village are able to offer the following services:

Our menu is fully vegetarian. Please note, due to the nature of the experience, only vegan and gluten free dietary requirements are available on request, at an extra cost. Make sure you specify this when booking. For the same reasons we are unable to provide a different menu for children.
